The residence for Mr.Krishan Chowdry was one of our earliest residential interior works. The process during this turnkey interior was a pleasuresome experience. Mr.Chowdry reposed total faith in our ability and gave us total freedom, after a few initial meetings we only met after the apartment was handed over.

 

The basic theme that evolved during designing was using the negative and positive elements, the dark and light shades, one form wrapping around another, some cues were taken from the angavastram, drapes falling over, we chose to use two contrasting materials, textures and forms to create a very unique interior. 

 

Each piece of furniture was meticulously put together knot for knot. Predominantly light forms curl and spring from dark surfaces be it a column or a mirror frame or a console creating a sense of motion. The light colored dripping icicles of wood contrasting against the dark burntwood surface or the masterbed with abstract faces drawing  near or a light deodar top cascading down a dark top like a drape creating magic. In this interior each piece of furniture has a story to narrate.
